Police say a man showing off his new gun accidentally shot his friend in the hand and leg.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said 58-year-old Lewis Guthrie won’t face charges for shooting Kevin O’Connor, 44.
Huntley said the shooting happened in Guthrie’s basement after dinner Thursday night.
Huntley said Guthrie was holding the 9mm pistol and was unaware that O’Connor had put bullets in it.
O’Connor’s injuries were not serious.
