ENGLEWOOD — Firefighters found a body inside a home where they put out a blaze early this morning.

The fire started at about 1:45 a.m. at 3750 S. Cherokee St., said Jason Hehn, an Englewood Fire Department spokesman.

Authorities did not identify the victim.

Investigators were at the home this morning to determine the cause of the fire, Hehn said.

When firefighters arrived at the single-story home, the structure was “fully involved,” Hehn said.

“After we got fire out, we made entry into the structure and found a body inside,” he said.
