A woman accused of stealing $15,000 from an elementary school’s Parent Teacher Organization has reached a plea agreement with prosectors.
Cali Blash, 31, who was arrested by Longmont Police on March 31 at her home, entered a guilty plea Friday to one count of criminal attempt to commit theft, according to the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office.
Her sentencing is scheduled for June 2, said Catherine Olguin, a DA’s office spokeswoman.
Blash swindled the Northridge Elementary School’s PTO during her term as co-president of the group between October 2007 May 2008, according to Longmont Police, when she allegedly withdrew money from an account — which required two signatures — by signing her own name and forging the signature of her co-president.
She was initially charged with theft and identity theft in October 2008.
Before her arrest last month, Blash failed to appear in court on Dec. 4 and on March 12 in connection with the case, police said.
Blash used the alleged stolen money to pay credit-card and grocery bills, police said.
