Two Colorado Springs men — one a school music teacher — were arrested this week after authorities found sexual images of children on their home computers.

On Monday Colorado Springs police arrested Michael Lee Eichsteadt, 37. His estranged wife had turned him in, and an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit found “several hundred videos and images of suspected sexually exploitative content” on his computers, a police news release said.

Officials do not believe any of the images are of children living in the Colorado Springs area.

The second man was arrested Wednesday. Jaime Bush Schneider, 42, was the subject of a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which alerted Colorado Springs police of someone “posting suspected sexually exploitative images of children in an online forum.”

The Internet Crimes Against Children Unit investigated and found “evidence consistent with the distribution of sexually exploitative images of children” at his home, police said.

Schneider is a music teacher for Academy School District 20; police did not find links to any local children.

Eichsteadt and Schneider have been charged with sexual exploitation of children.
