BOULDER — A Boulder woman has filed a lawsuit against Boulder Community Hospital, claiming that a hot- water bottle medical staff placed underneath her to ease delivery pains left her with third-degree burns on her buttocks that have required ongoing surgeries and treatments.
It doesn’t appear from the suit that her son, born exactly two years ago, was affected by the burns Melissa Zawadzki claims she sustained.
Boulder Community Hospital spokesman Rich Sheehan said Friday the hospital could not comment on ongoing litigation.
