ANKARA, Turkey — Turkey’s prime minister reshuffled the bulk of his Cabinet on Friday, appointing an official who has mediated indirect talks between Syria and Israel as foreign minister.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s surprise announcement is seen as an effort to rejuvenate support for his Islamic- rooted government.
Erdogan named Ahmet Davutoglu as foreign policy adviser.
Friday’s reshuffle also replaced the ministers of justice, finance, education, housing, industry and trade and energy.
