Why you? Senate District 33 . . . is the most economically and culturally diverse district in the city of Denver, and we face significant challenges: double-digit unemployment; disproportionate number of foreclosures; devaluation of residential property; concerns for quality health care; retirement security; and the resources to provide a new century education for our children. My experience . . . working for progressive change in the legislature from 2000-2008 uniquely qualifies me.

Why you? This is a critical moment in Colorado history — with nearly a million Coloradans without health care, with historic levels of unemployment, home foreclosures and high school dropout rates. With more than 10 years of experience working to transform schools and low-income communities as a teacher, principal, author and co-founder of a national nonprofit, I . . . am deeply committed to fighting to ensure that every Colorado family has access to the same fundamental rights. Why you? I have deep roots in this district as a proud graduate of East High School and a mentor to youth in this community for nearly a decade. I am a business- minded individual with significant experience in the private and nonprofit sector, and I bring diverse people together . . . to find compromises and forge solutions. I have demonstrated my commitment to the Democratic Party and to progressive ideals through my service as an elected member of the Democratic National Committee.

Renee Blanchard

Why you? I want to bring fresh new ideas, dedication and hard work. I want the people to know the bills I write will come from the people who live in the district. My key ideas will solve sociological, economic and environment issues.
