First-degree murder charges were filed Wednesday against a man accused of shooting and killing a convenience store clerk May 2.
Dale Baylis, 46, is alleged to have shot 28-year-old Natnael Mulugeta in a 3:30 a.m. robbery at the 7-Eleven at 567 E. Louisiana Ave.
SWAT officers arrested Baylis at his home at 1308 S. Logan St., two blocks from the convenience store, on May 6. Mulugeta, an Ethiopian immigrant, was shot in the chest with a rifle.
