DENVER—Thirteen community weeklies around Colorado will begin paying the Denver Newspaper Agency to print its newspapers.
The DNA would not say how much the weekly newspapers would pay the agency to print some 120,000 copies each week, beginning Tuesday. Bernie Szachara, the DNA’s senior vice president of operations and information technology, says the deal is a multiyear agreement.
The agency handles printing, distribution, and business operations for The Denver Post. It did the same for the Rocky Mountain News under a joint operating agreement.
The weeklies are part of the Colorado Community Newspapers, which cover Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker and other areas. The DNA also began handling printing for The Coloradoan last week.
