AURORA, Colo.—Police have identified a motorcyclist killed last week in a crash in Aurora.

Fifty-two-year-old Douglas Garneau of Aurora died after a car collided with his motorcycle May 13 near Havana Street and East First Avenue.

Police say a passenger in the car was taken to a hospital as a precaution but didn’t appear to be injured.

The car’s driver, Fedencio Herrera-Olague, is being held in the Arapahoe County jail on $15,000 bond on suspicion of careless driving resulting in death, driving under revocation, and failure to yield.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has also placed a no-bond hold on Herrera-Olague, who authorities say may be in the country illegally.

Herrera-Olague is due in court May 21.
