Are Michael Jackson’s ambitions to regain his King of Pop crown about to be dashed? Organizers on Wednesday announced that the start of Jackson’s 50-show comeback run, “This Is It,” at London’s O2 arena has been pushed back from July 8 to July 13. What’s more, shows scheduled for July 10, 12 and 14 have been pushed back to March 1, 3, and 6 in 2010.
The news comes amid continuing reports that the 50-year-old Jackson is suffering from ill health. Show director Kenny Ortega rubbished the rumors at a London news conference. He insisted that more time was needed to erect such a technically complex extravaganza. The Philadelphia Inquirer
