DURANGO, Colo.—A natural gas pipeline ruptured inside a southwest Colorado processing plant, but the owners say there was no fire and no one was hurt.
Williams Partners LP says the rupture occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the plant near Durango, about 225 miles southwest of Denver. The cause is under investigation.
Tulsa, Okla.-based Williams said Friday the plant is expected to reopen early next week.
Williams says the plant’s processing capacity is about 450 million cubic feet a day. It says about 250 million cubic feet of daily production has been rerouted to other plants.
Williams estimates its second quarter cash flow will be reduced by $3 million to $4 million, including the loss of sales and about $1 million in repairs.
