BAGHDAD — The Iraqi government has pledged $2.5 million to expand the opportunities for Iraqi students to participate in the Fulbright program. The U.S. Embassy says the Iraqi funding will double from 35 to 70 the number of scholarships available to Iraqis in the U.S. government educational exchange program for graduate students.
Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh says the program will help forge enduring ties between U.S. and Iraqi institutions. The Associated Press
