A 22-year-old man who escaped Wednesday evening from Camp George West in Golden was captured late Thursday morning in Evergreen.
Joshua Yapp was convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Park County and was serving a 36-month term at the minimum- security correctional center.
Ari Zavaras, executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, credited hard work by the Jefferson and Park County sheriff’s offices as well as work by DOC investigators for Yapp’s quick capture.
Yapp was apprehended shortly before 11:30 a.m.
