Colorado will receive $100,000 as a result of a multistate investigation that revealed that several pharmaceutical companies allegedly failed to promptly reveal negative test results for a drug they claimed reduced cholesterol.
Thirty-five states, including Colorado, reached a $5.4 million settlement after an investigation into Vytorin.
Colorado will use its $100,000 to reimburse investigation costs and the funding of future investigations.
Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said the settlement was reached with Merck, Schering-Plough and a joint venture of the two companies called MSP Singapore.
