A former St. Anthony Central Hospital nurse claimed she stole medications for six months before she was fired, according to an arrest affidavit filed by Denver police.

9News reports the affidavit says Jillian Fischer, 43, stole fentanyl, Vicodin, Ativan, morphine and Valium.

A nurse who worked with Fischer says that after the arrest, Fischer told her that she had been injecting medications in her arms, hands and even her feet for six months.

Fischer worked as a registered nurse in the neurotrauma unit, but the hospital says no patients were put in danger.

“We do have a lot more investigating to do, but at first glance, it doesn’t appear that any patients were put in harm,” said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
