WORCESTER, Mass. — A baby girl who was cut from her mother’s womb has been found alive, and two people have been arrested in the woman’s killing, police said Wednesday.
Police said the girl appeared to be in fair health at a New Hampshire hospital.
Julie Corey, 35, and an unidentified man have been arrested in New Hampshire after friends said they were suspicious of Corey’s claims she had given birth.
Darlene Haynes was about eight months pregnant. Her body was found Monday by her landlord. Police said the 23- year-old victim had been dead for several days.
