About 15,000 homes and businesses in and near Federal Heights were without power this morning due to an underground cable failure, Xcel Energy said.
Many of the customers were restored within minutes, but power from the outage that began at 10:50 a.m. was fully restored by 12:30 p.m., said utility spokesman Tom Henley.
