STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say they won’t file criminal charges in the case of a 24-year-old Los Angeles woman who was found in Colorado after sending family members text messages indicating she was in danger.

Silvia Mardini was found outside a convenience store Sunday in Steamboat Springs in northern Colorado after a search that included the FBI and authorities in Utah and Colorado. Her family became concerned about her welfare a day earlier after receiving text messages from her.

Routt County Sheriff Gary Wall said Monday deputies concluded their investigation after determining no one else was traveling with Mardini.

Mardini lives in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.
