THORNTON, Colo.—A natural gas leak prompted the evacuation of a suburban Denver high school about an hour before students were scheduled to go home anyway.
No injuries were reported after a construction crew breached a gas line in Thornton at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say Horizon High School was evacuated as a precaution. About 1,800 students attend the school.
