NUNN, Colo.—The Nunn town clerk has ruled that petitions to recall six town board members are valid, clearing the way for the board to schedule an election to recall all but one of its members.

Town Clerk Tori McMechan says the petitions had enough valid signatures and will be forwarded to the board for its Oct. 1 meeting. Her decision could be appealed to state district court.

One set of petitions proposes unseating three board members and another set calls for unseating three different board members. Bryan Jex is the only member not the subject of a recall drive.

Personal feuds and allegations of physical threats have fueled the disagreements in the Weld County town about 80 miles north of Denver.
