GRAND FORKS, N.D.—Coaches in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association have picked Denver to win the league title.
The Pioneers received eight of the 10 first-place votes in the Grand Forks Herald preseason coaches poll.
Defending league champion North Dakota received the other two first-place votes and is projected to finish second, followed by Wisconsin, Minnesota and St. Cloud State.
The bottom five, in order, are Minnesota Duluth; Minnesota State, Mankato; Colorado College; Alaska Anchorage; and Michigan Tech.
