An armed would-be robber shot an Edwards liquor store clerk with a BB gun and then used pepper spray on the victim as well, police said.
The incident happened about 9 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Liquors, 429 Edwards Access Road, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
The failed robber, who shot the clerk multiple times with the BB gun, tried to rip out the store’s cash drawer but was unsuccessful, Edwards police said.
The robber is described as a white man with a medium build, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds, police said. He was wearing a gray AC/DC hooded sweat shirt.
