A group of four hunters — two adults and two boys from Colorado — have been found safe after spending a cold night outdoors in Larimer County.

Two of the four were found today at about 7:30 a.m., and the remaining two, a 65-year-old man and 9-year-old boy, were found just before noon.

The four were reported missing at about 9 p.m. Sunday in the Deadman Road area near Sand Creek Pass Road, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

They are “cold and tired but otherwise in good health,” rescuers said.

The area they went missing in was hit with about a foot of snow on Sunday, the sheriff’s office said.

The temperature this morning was about 30 degrees with light winds. Rescuers used snowmobiles and a SnoCat in their search for the missing party.
