LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson’s estate is acknowledging that Paul Anka co-wrote the pop singer’s first posthumous single, “This Is It.”

Anka said Monday that Jackson’s estate has moved quickly to resolve the situation, and he has been promised 50 percent of the song’s profits. Anka said he is satisfied with the outcome.

Jackson’s “This Is It” was released Monday on the singer’s official website and was sent to radio stations.

It is part of a publicity push for the upcoming documentary of the same name culled from footage of Jackson for a final series of concerts before he died in June. The Associated Press
