CHESTER CITY, Pa. — A firefighter was reinstated Monday after a two-day suspension for refusing to scrape an American flag decal off his firehouse locker. And the Fire Department said it would change its regulations to allow U.S. flag stickers on lockers.
Firefighter James Krapf, 31, had been suspended for refusing to follow a directive banning all decorations on lockers. Firefighters had been ordered over the summer to clear the outside of their lockers after a firefighter posted a cartoon that some found offensive.
