DENVER—A Denver jury has convicted a man in two sexual assaults more than a decade ago.
Denver prosecutors said Monday that 42-year-old Gradie Miles was convicted of first-degree sexual assault resulting in serious bodily injury, first-degree sexual assault with a deadly weapon and sexual assault with the use of force.
He was accused of attacking a woman in 1993, ripping a wedding band off her hand, and dragging her into an alley where he beat and sexually assaulted her.
He also was accused of attacking a couple in 1996 and sexually assaulting the woman.
Prosecutors say Miles was identified as a suspect through a DNA match.
A sentencing date for Miles will be set after another sexual assault case ends.
