The 350Denver Coalition will hold a rally at 3:30 p.m. today on the west steps of the Capitol to express “broad and passionate support for urgent climate action” to bring carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere down from 387 parts per million to 350 ppm.
Organizers say faith groups have been at the heart of the coalition. The Rev. Peter Sawtelle of Eco- Justice Ministries will serve as master of ceremonies. Six churches will ring their bells 350 times in warning and prayer throughout the day.
