GOLDEN, Colo.—Three former officers on the board of a Jefferson County-based youth football group have been indicted on charges of theft and conspiracy to commit theft.
Prosecutors allege William Edward Hilborne and his wife, Kelli Marie Hilborne, stole more than $10,000 from the nonprofit Golden Applewood Midget Football Association when they were officers on its board of directors between January 2006 and October 2007.
Prosecutors say Cheryl Wyckoff is accused of wrongfully paying out money from the association when she was its treasurer in 2006.
William Hilborne was in custody Tuesday in Delta, Kelli Hilborne was free on a $5,000 bond, and Wyckoff was receiving a felony summons. Their phone numbers are unlisted.
