It did not take Greenwood Village Police Officers long to track down the men who allegedly robbed the Dayton Street 7-Eleven early today — all they had to do was follow the suspects’ tracks through the snow.

The suspects were identified as wanted fugitives who escaped Oct. 25 from the Arapahoe County Centennial Community Transition Center, a center providing residential treatment services to offenders.

At 2:30 a.m Thursday, according to police, officers responded to the 7-Eleven store on a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

Officers confirmed that two men had entered the store and had taken an undisclosed amount of cash, then left the store on foot.

Officers tracked the footprints in the snow to a nearby Motel 6.

After several attempts to make contact with the subjects at the hotel, a total of three subjects voluntarily surrendered to officers at 11:45 a.m. without incident, police said.

The suspects were identified as Patrick Kelly Moat , 21, Ryan James Spear , 20, and Brian Coshnitzke, 22.
