Jacques Lamoureux’s two goals led the Air Force hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Canisius in an Atlantic Hockey Association game Sunday in Buffalo, N.Y.
Air Force (3-5, 3-1 AHA) earned a weekend split with Canisius (2-6, 1-3) after a 3-1 loss Saturday.
Canisius outshot Air Force 35-28, but Falcons goalie Andrew Volkening made 34 saves.
Matt Fairchild added two assists for Air Force, which moved into first place in the AHA.
Pioneers lose Sun Belt match.
The Arkansas-Little Rock volleyball team snapped the University of Denver’s four-match win streak, defeating the Pioneers 3-1 in a Sun Belt Conference match at Hamilton Gymnasium. Arkansas-Little Rock (14-12, 8-7 Sun Belt) won 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 25-16. Emmy Davidsmeyer led the Pioneers (13-14, 8-5) with 15 kills, giving her 1,027 kills in her career, the 10th-best mark in DU history.
DU shut out in soccer.
The Cal State-Bakersfield men’s soccer team blanked visiting DU 3-0 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game. Bakersfield (8-6-2, 3-3-0) scored each of its goals within 5:20 of the first half. Robbie Gouk scored the game-winner in the 16th minute. The Pioneers (3-9-3, 0-4-1) finish their season at home Thursday against Seattle.
