GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Kansas-based company is preparing to take ownership of The Daily Sentinel newspaper in Grand Junction.

Monday’s edition is to be the first under Seaton Publishing Co. and publisher Jay Seaton. The company bought the 116-year-old newspaper in July from Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises Inc.

Seaton says the newspaper will not significantly change, but the Web site may be updated. Seaton is based in Manhattan, Kan.

Cox announced last year it was selling most of its newspapers in Colorado, North Carolina and Texas.
