LOCHBUIE — Police say a woman made 48 phony 911 calls threatening suicide, asking police to shoot her and claiming her mother was dying of a heart attack.
Caryn Sodaro, 44, of Lochbuie was arrested Friday after a four-month investigation.
Weld County sheriff’s spokesman Shane Scofield said the caller used a prepaid cellphone that didn’t have her name attached. With the help of the phone company, investigators were able to trace the calls to the community of Lochbuie, which sits along Interstate 76 about 18 miles northeast of Denver.
Sodaro was being held without bail on suspicion of attempting to influence a public official, which is a felony, and two misdemeanor offenses of false reporting and resisting arrest. The Associated Press
