TOKYO — The Toyota Prius was the top-selling car in Japan last year — the first time a gas-electric hybrid has taken that spot — with 208,876. That’s three times what it sold in 2008.
The Japan Automobile Dealers Association said Honda’s Fit was second, followed by the Toyota Vitz.
