Philadelphia 76ers center Samuel Dalembert this week hopes to return to Haiti, his native country recently devastated by an earthquake. Dalembert intended to charter a plane after Friday night’s home game against the Sacramento Kings, but he must wait for border clearance. Dalembert has pledged $100,000 to UNICEF to aid relief efforts. “It’s easy to just give money and send stuff,” he said. “But when the people see you there you make them feel much better.” Dalembert will miss only practices, but not a game. “If I could fly myself, I’d go over there after every practice,” he said.
