Three people were injured early Saturday morning after a police chase in which speeds surpassed 100 mph.

Loveland police tried to stop a Chevy Blazer for speeding about 12:40 a.m. at Colorado 402 near Interstate 25 but the vehicle took off, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said.

The chase ended east of Milliken in Weld County after Weld County sheriff’s deputies threw stop sticks at Colorado 60 and Two Rivers Road, causing the sport utility vehicle to go out of control and roll twice. One person was thrown from the vehicle, and two were trapped inside.

The driver, Robert L. Romero, was on probation for possession of a weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said. His passengers were identified as Leroy R. Romero and Gary Vigil.

All three were taken to North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley. Their conditions were not known.
