GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A teenager has been arrested in the killing of a Grand Junction man last seen alive at a birthday party.

Twenty-year-old Ramon E. Sandoval was found dead Saturday morning in the parking lot of an apartment complex. He’d been fatally stabbed in the abdomen, after leaving a birthday party Friday night.

On Sunday, Grand Junction police arrested 19-year-old Amy Ann Adamson Gonzalez in connection with the death. Officials say the two knew each other but have not suggested a motive.

The suspect has an extensive criminal record, pleading guilty just last week to a misdemeanor charge of violating a restraining order. It was unclear whether the restraining order involved Sandoval.
