In a year that few developers would dare launch a new condo project, Century Communities has brought some spacious, urban-style lofts in, under the radar, in a very unlikely place: Inverness Business Park east of Park Meadows, where they’ve logged nine sales in the past six weeks since the model opened.

You can see what’s working for them today at Avalon at Inverness…including prices from just $199,950…and a sharp looking model, east of I-25 on County Line/Inverness Parkway.

“It looks like we hit the nail on the head,” says Avalon sales rep Penny Alsabih, who’ll point out John Derry Park across the street, operated by Inverness’ Improvement District. “We surveyed buyers who told us they want single-level living with no stairs, they already have a gym membership, and that they may or may not want a garage.”

What they DO want, says Century Vice President for Sales Kathy Ellis, is easy access to Light Rail (Park Meadows Station, 0.4 mile), and traditionally-styled interiors with lots of space and interior styling. Big kitchens with islands…plenty of size in the master.

You’re going to be captivated by the “boutique hotel” look; not just in the suites (all 10-foot ceilings; 11 and 12 feet on upstairs levels)…but also the entry lobby. The boutique feel, says Ellis, dovetails with an obvious buyer profile here–corporate buyers who work in the quiet business campuses surrounding.

“We thought this part of Inverness felt underutilized,” Ellis told me, adding that Century bought the Avalon site from a hotel chain. “Everybody sees it as an office area, but you walk to Light Rail, you have Colorado Athletic Club very close, and good Park Meadows access.”

But there have been surprises. While some sales are to employees at Inverness, Meridian and at Sky Ridge Medical Center; others fit an older profile, coming from out of state to be close to their Colorado-raised grandkids. You can tour the ‘Tennyson’ 3-bedroom model (one of a few remaining that come with a building-attached tandem garage)…and see other 1-2-and-3 bedrooms where you can move soon. Century, meanwhile, with its quick success on the first homes, is already moving ahead on another 24, offering more chances to customize.
