DENVER—A gas truck driver faces pollution charges after state authorities say he dumped gasoline on land in Commerce City.

An indictment announced Tuesday said that 45-year-old Steven James Yedo dumped more than 50 gallons on a parcel of land last October.

Gasoline is considered a hazardous waste. Yedo faces several felony charges including violating the Colorado Hazardous Waste Act.

State officials said Tuesday that the dumping caused $60,000 worth of environmental damage. Yedo will be tried in Adams County.
