BOISE, Idaho—The federal government has awarded more than $4.5 million in stimulus money to an Idaho company hired to oversee engineering and construction projects at fish hatcheries in Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the award Monday for Boise-based McMillen LLC.
The company will repair pollution abatement ponds and a water circulation system at the Kooskia National Fish Hatchery in Idaho.
In Colorado, the company will build new fish raceways and convert old ponds at the Hotchkiss National Fish Hatchery.
The Wyoming project involves building three residences and a bunkhouse at the Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge.
Company officials say the money should help create dozens of new jobs in the regions targeted for the projects.
