DENVER—More pupils are in Colorado public schools.
The state Department of Education says enrollment is up almost 2 percent this year for the second year in a row. There are now more than 832,000 students enrolled in state public schools. That’s up about 14,000 students from last year, a 1.7 percent increase.
The biggest jump this year was in 12th grade. Colorado has 2,631 more seniors than last year.
Almost four in 10 students in Colorado schools are eligible for free and reduced-price lunches, a poverty indicator. That up 3 percentage points from last year.
