Colorado Mines 67, Metro State 65

The Orediggers ended the Roadrunners’ 27-game winning streak at the Auraria Events Center, rallying behind freshman guard Brett Green’s five consecutive points that wiped out a 56-53 deficit with 5:13 remaining Friday night.

Green brought Mines (9-9, 6-4 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) within one with a layup, then hit a 3-pointer, and the cold-shooting Roadrunners (15-3, 8-2) could not muster a comeback.

Metro shot 37 percent, while Mines made 47.8 percent — 54.2 percent in the second half. Green led the Orediggers with 17 points.

Donte Nicholas scored 28 for the Roadrunners.

Regis 89, Colorado Christian 71

Matt Rosinski scored 33 points and Curtis Mitchell added 11 as the Rangers (7-11, 2-8 RMAC) defeated the Cougars (7-10, 5-5) at Regis Fieldhouse.

The Roadrunners (11-7, 6-4 RMAC) led 29-21 at halftime, and the Orediggers (12-6, 6-4) went cold in the second half at the Auraria Events Center.

Adams State 70, New Mexico Highlands 53

ALAMOSA — The Grizzlies (14-3, 8-2 RMAC) put away the Cowgirls (8-9, 3-7) with a 19-4 run starting with less nine minutes left in the second half, turning a 45-40 lead into a 64-44 advantage. Chloe Cable led the Grizzlies with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
