Mitch Griebel, who led Heritage to the Class 4A football championship in December, will attend the Air Force Academy.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound quarterback-defensive back, who was named to The Denver Post’s All-Colorado team, decided on the Falcons on Friday.
“It’s exciting,” said Mike Griebel, his father and longtime Eagles coach who was The Denver Post and Broncos coach of the year for 2009.
On Thursday, Regis Jesuit lineman Alex Bienemann, a 5A first-team all-state choice on defense, pledged to Montana. National signing day is Wednesday.
