BOULDER — Roving naked parties in Boulder could become a thing of the past with city officials considering a broader public nudity ordinance.
The college town’s proposed ordinance would apply to anyone older than 10 who exposes any portion of his or her private parts, including the areola of a female breast.
Currently Boulder law bans nudity only at a city lake popular for nude swimming in the 1970s. That ordinance didn’t include female toplessness. The expanded ordinance would carry a possible $1,000 fine. Women who are breast-feeding, and people in their own homes, would be exempt.
