Fort Collins police today released the name and a photograph of a man suspected of stabbing a woman in what’s being described an incidence of domestic violence.
John Benjamin Jimenez Jr., 38, remains at-large. He also is being sought as a prison escapee, authorities said.
Jimenez has a lengthy criminal record, with charges that include domestic violence, child abuse, harassment burglary and theft.
Though details of his escape charge were not available this evening, records show he was charged with “escape from a felony conviction” in December. He pleaded guilty to an escape charge in 1998, records show.
The 41-year-old woman he is accused of stabbing Sunday morning continues to recover from non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital, police said.
Police were called to the home on Huntington Drive at about 6 a.m. Sunday.
