DENVER—President Barack Obama has selected Denver City Councilman Rick Garcia to serve as regional director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Garcia will serve as HUD liaison to state and local officials in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah.
He was elected to the Denver City Council in June 2003.
