Whenever Scott and Laura Esmond met people who lived in Stapleton, the stories always sounded too good to be true. “We said to ourselves, ‘that’s not real,'” Laura Esmond recalls…then would return to their old place in trendy Highlands, where they’d shop in vain for a place to move up. But late last year, with a baby at home and another on the way, the Esmonds decided to go see Stapleton for themselves.
You can see how all of that came out at Balboa–contemporary single-family designs in Stapleton from Infinity Home Collection, with spaces that look amazing to buyers who’ve been fixed on Highlands or Wash Park. “I looked at Scott and said ‘I’m sold,” Esmond recalled, after viewing the ‘Marbella’ model you’ll tour today…along with a super-sized ‘Carmel’ design that’s on track to grand-open later this month.
The Esmonds also said yes to an option for a finished basement; and Infinity moved up the closing on the home to allow the new baby to move into Stapleton without setting a footie in Highlands.
“This buyer is profoundly different,” says Infinity General Manager Dave Steinke, who built a luxury series of contemporaries in Stapleton prior to engineering these value-packed designs. “These are kids who may have had a loft experience; their tastes are centered on contemporary. They can’t visualize themselves in Grammie’s house.”
It’s also about amenities…the stuff that “doesn’t sound real” when buyers swap stories about Stapleton. (The Esmonds are now closer to Town Center and its Starbucks and eateries than they were from their Highlands place to Highland Square.) There are trails, and a pool/rec center coming soon to Stapleton’s vast Central Park. “Everybody is outside all the time,” Laura Esmond noted while she toured practically every new Stapleton model in her price range.
“It’s everything you’d want in the suburbs, plus we have a cool house,” she added, as we viewed the model. You can also see three homes from the collection that are close to delivery, from $439,900.
Laura, a children’s photographer, and Scott, a specialist in interactive systems, are meeting a crop of new neighbors who moved in about the same time (eight homes from the Balboa series sold in December alone). Take 29th east thru Stapleton’s Town Center, four blocks to Trenton and left. “Is there anything we’d change?” Laura Esmond pondered. “Really, not.”
