Gabe Rodriguez carries a pocketknife around with him every day. He never thought he would have to use it to cut a woman out of her seat belt in a rolled SUV.
The accident happened around noon Tuesday on Highway 43 just outside of Glen Haven, which is near Estes Park in Larimer County.
Rodriguez and his business partner, James Sanchez, were driving along the windy stretch of road when they saw an SUV upside down in the creek. The wheels were still spinning.
Both men jumped out of their pickup, and ran down the embankment into the icy water. They could see a woman hanging upside down inside the vehicle with water rushing in around her.
