Amelia Earhart, who left the Denver skies to work in Los Angeles, will return to KUSA-Channel 9’s morning and evening newscasts to cover traffic, mostly from the ground.
Earhart was a traffic reporter for KCBS and KCAL-TV in L.A. for the past year. A provision in her contract allowed her an early out, according to KUSA news director Patti Dennis. Earhart will fly only occasionally under the new helicopter-sharing arrangement among the local network affiliates.
