JACKSON, Wyo.—The superintendent of Grand Teton National Park is heading to Denver to fill in as temporary director for the National Park Service’s intermountain region.

National Park Service Director Jon Jarvis announced Thursday that Mary Gibson Scott would take the Denver post in mid-March.

Scott will fill in until a permanent replacement for retiring regional director Mike Snyder is found.

Scott says it’s an honor to fill in, and she hopes to return to Grand Teton as soon as the search is completed.
